Morton's

Celebrated Aunty's bday at Morton's! :D
My fav dish of the night has to go to their seafood platter.
Morton's is famous for their beef, and there was an awful load of beef that night. lol.
Their chocolate lava cake is to die for as well.
Much as the food was really good, I don't think I'd ever spend a few grands on food.
Personally, the company counts much more than the food itself.

Had also met up the jazz people at Fullhouse Cafe!
The place is really quite pretty, but it's kind of small!
Had imagined it to be bigger actually.
I'm considering to go there for my Thursday's shoot if rain decides to descend. lol.
Had a good time catching up with the ol' pals (:
I'm now in the midst of packing the stuff for tomorrow's shoot.
Uberly excited cuz we have planned for it for so long!
Speaking of which, the vain me decided to go for teeth whitening yday in preparation for the shoot.
I ended up with more than 14 hours worth of teeth sensitivity along with zings of pain throughout the night.
Total damage was 6 pills of panadols, and 3 pills of panadol extra
And they didn't really eradicate the pain.
I didn't even dare to open my mouth,
cuz once cold air hits my teeth, the pain was utterly unbearable.
I will never ever do this again. *shudders
Went to visit the boy's dentist cousin today to salvage the situation. (:
I'm much better already!
hoorays!

Also went to collect my gowns today.
Had to tighten 2 of the 4 gowns.
Look like I lost weight overnight. hahah!
Hopefully I get a good night's sleep later on.
I can't do with another night of non-sleep again!
Will update more of the shoot after I get back.

of more wedding stuff

Continued the pre-wedding shoot with Anton yesterday.
The sun was really terribly hot even though it was only 8am+!
Think I'm like at least 2 shades more tanned.
Anton was trying out film photography as he was inspired by Jose Villa.
Seems like film photography is the rage for wedding shoot recently.
Hope the photos turns out nicely (:

Ended the shoot at around 11.15am as the boy has to go for his friend's wedding lunch.
While waiting for him, I went to Estheva Spa at Ion to pamper myself with a whitening body scrub :D
After that, it was shopping time! :)
Got a pretty office top from gg<5.

Popped by the JB wedding shop today to get the boy's suits settled today (:
Thought the above suit looked pretty good (he won't be pairing the blazer with the blue shirt. lol.)
This gown was one I had bought online for a really reasonably price.
It was custom-made to my size too.
Now I have white dresses for all the different cuts for the shoot (:
Tulle, trumpet and short!
Now all that's left to prepare are the props, and hairstyles.
Can't wait for the shoot in 2 weeks time.

haha! hope the wedding stuff aren't boring you guys (:
Anyway, we tried out this Mongkok Cafe at City Square (JB) today.
On previous occasions we passed by it, it was brimming with people.
But we were there at the non-peak period today,
so decided to give it a try.
It reminds me of Xin Wang Cafe, but prices are halved due to currency exchange.
The Yuanyang drink was really awesome!
Smooth, velvety and very fragrant.
It's one of the best I've tasted thus far.
The cheese baked rice done in portuguese style had a really good mix of curry, cheese and rice!
I like it much better than the chicken chop that came with it.:x
Maybe I'll try the mushroom one next time (:

With all the mad rushing around these 2 days,
the weekend has ended just like that!
oh dear. I really need longer weekends.

gleeful

The sun was blazing
the wind wasn't cooperating.
The heels sunk into the soil
The ants continued to toil.

But one perfect picture is all that it needs,
to make everything all worth while.
Looking forward to Part 2.
(:

------

Back tracking a little,
I finally got hold of the outfit-of-the-day shots from the boy's camera!
This was from his dad's bday celebration dinner.
This was the floral peplum top and white shorts from Bysi (:
Super comfy, and the floral prints are pretty!

This is the uberly awesome custard egg yolk bun that we ate!

------

Work pace has slowed down a lot since the mega event in May.
That's a really good thing cuz it's high time that I start moving along in wedding planning.

Visited Gardens by the Bay on Saturday to do a recee for prewedding shoot locations.
The place is huge,
but frankly speaking, we feel that there are quite limited good angles for shoot.
Nevertheless, I think those which we shortlisted would suffice.

Met Eddie on sunday to sign the banquet contract,
then met Anton for the causal engagement shoot.
Didn't really prepare for it. haha.
But sometimes I think being chill and relaxed has its benefits too.
The above photo was actually meant to be a test shot.
It was when we first reached this place,
and we were excited and amazed.
We hadn't prepared the poses for this shot,
it just happened (:
Afterall, holding heels in your hand isn't norm for poses ya? lol.
But this photo turned out unexpectedly well (:
I guess cuz we were in our natural behaviors,
and Anton managed to capture our tiny moment of awe at the place. (:

Wedding planning is so fun (:
but it also can be so frustrating at times. haha!
back to my wedding labels hunting!
