Vienna International Buffet

Suddenly, I realize that my posts have been pictures heavy of late.
And this one is no exception! haha (:
Went to Vienna International buffet on Sunday
as daddy's early bday celebration (:
The whole place was quite palace-like,
with gold adornment at every turn.
Plus the candeliers too!
But the following pictures are all not taken by myself..
Cuz we didn't bring any camera over =(
So these photos are what I found online, featuring what I had eaten.
Photo credits to vkeong and eateatneate.

The spread of food was not bad,
with fresh seafood, ready cooked food, jap cuisine, teppanyaki etc.

And there was a whole counter dedicated to cakes!
There are other desserts as well,
such as chocolate fondue, ice-cream, jelly in cocktail glasses, red wine!
Only tried the durian cake of the lot, and it was quite good.

The highlight of the buffet for most people has to be the fresh oysters.
But only daddy ate them at our table. lol!

Abalone served in a petite dish with mayo drizzle.
Yummeh! (:

This is the Spanner Crab that's supposed to be quite popular.
But I didn't like the texture of the meat!
Tasted like waxed crab meat somehow..
Dry, quite flaky =x

Well, the slipper lobsters and steamed prawns didn't disappoint though =D
Meat was fresh and I had about 5-8 servings of each. lol.

There were many variations of prawns served there,
such as prawn in fruit sald..

... And cheese-baked prawns!
There were also herbal cooked prawns (which I didnt try)

A whole plateful of food (:
Unagi, Peking duck roll, cha soba, sashimi, sushi rolls, fruit salad etc

oh. How can I forget about the Teppanyaki section!
You just gotta fill a plate with the stuff you want,
tag on a clip found at your table..
And it will be delivered to you when ready (:
Here's salmon, chicken and dory fish!

A pretty photo collage of some food.
The soup is Mini "Buddha Jump Over the Wall". lol!
It tasted.. herbal.. =x

My personal favorite dessert has to be the chocolate fondue!! =D
Whee!

There was this Bird Nest's Egg Tart too that was super good.
But I can't seem to find the picture for it.
It was warm, fluffy texture and slightly sweet w/o being overwhelming.

Glad all of them enjoyed the food!
Nevermind the price tag for now. lol!
